Religious leaders of Lyon, France- Mission to the Holy Land

Pave the Way Foundation will be leading the representatives of all of the diverse faiths of Lyon, France  to meet with the religious leaders and patriarchs of each the faiths of the holiest city on earth.

Our purpose is to personally invite each representative of the religions of Jerusalem back to Lyon for a conference to deal with non-theological problems that they all must deal with. Some of these issues include visa problems, taxation issues checkpoint access and etc. We wish to create a level of joint cooperation to enable one voice to try to solve these mutual problems. We hope to encourage, through mutual cooperation, increased religious pilgrimages to the Holy Land and to Israel.

More significantly, we hope to  discuss the illegal use of religion for justification of private agendas and to effect a mechanism to condemn any act of violence committed in the name of religion around the world in every language as soon as it occurs. We will establish a beacon of conscience that other religious leaders will follow by example. Governments are incapable of achieving peace when religion is the tool used to justify violence only the religious leaders can condemn these acts in religious language.
